That series was about as ugly a series I’ve seen since the Marlins were in town. Maybe since the sweep by the Braves.
So we’re not talking about it. It’s time to do a little character development. Enjoy!

Are you still upset about the August 23 – 25, 1993, series against Atlanta? I’d almost had that one erased. Thanks.
Oh, no, I forgot about the 1993 series after the Aug. 19-21 series against the Braves at home. Game 1: Barry hits a 10th inning home run to win the game. Game 2: Bonds comes up in the ninth, tie game, and is intentionally walked to load the bases…the next batter (Edgardo!) singles to win the game.
The look on Bobby Cox’s face when Bonds came up in the third game, in the tenth inning, again with the game tied, was priceless. Pitch to him? Walk him?
They pitched to him. Bonds hit another game-winning home run.
Yea, after that ridiculously fun sweep, the 1993 series was left in the past.
