So, San Francisco Giants third base coach Tim Flannery is playing with a band called ‘The Lunatic Fringe”.  I had no idea.

At least they’re playing for a very good cause.  The band will be playing at Yoshi’s Jazz Club in San Francisco on November 9th, and all proceeds from the $45 tickets will go towards helping support injured Giants fan Bryan Stow.  Yea, that’s a good cause, for sure.

Flannery, of course, has been playing bluegrass music since long before he came to the Giants.  The Kentucky native is a huge music lover, almost as big as his love for baseball.  Also on the bill are Randi Driscoll, Turi and Brent McClain, Dennis Caplinger, Jeff Berkley, and Dean Smith. Comcast SportsNet personality Amy Gutierrez will serve as master of ceremonies.

If you’re interested in the show, you can get tickets here.  And, as always, please continue to support Bryan Stow’s family.

Flannery’s band may not be affiliated with this website and the comic…but hell, we support him anyway!
