The Lunatic Fringe

As a guy who grew up enjoying my father’s team, the Celtics, with Larry Bird leading the way, and then the Warriors of the 1990’s with Chris Mullin, Tim Hardaway and Mitch Richmond (however shortly).

I loved the outside shot.  I had hopes when I saw Latrell Sprewell come up in the system that we’d see that part of the game return, and then got disgusted.  I followed a team for whom having a man with two key attributes…being big and being healthy…was generally decried as the reason they lost.

I love this Warriors team, even beyond them being my team.  I used to wear a T-shirt that said “I’ll dunk when it’s worth three points.”

Nice to see the rest of the NBA realizing that.
