Bruce Bochy gets the obvious exception, as his issues came on in Spring Training, were scarily possible as life-threatening, and as a non-player, health issues aren’t the same thing.

But seriously, it’s just like there’s a schedule up in the Chronicle and/or Mercury News about which player is next up to get a feel-good piece about how this year will be different than last.  If last year was bad, he’ll be good this year.  If last year was good, he’ll be better.  If he wasn’t on the team last year, he’s happy to be here.

Spring Training games don’t mean much when it comes to on-field performance…but damn if I’m not looking forward to them after these weeks of stories.
