Seriously, though.  The saga of Brandon Belt’s major league debut has been a bit silly.  There were some foolish decisions.  Some optimistic decisions.  Maybe even an ironic thing or two.

The bottom line is: sometimes the kid isn’t ready.  Belt will be, someday very soon.

Did you see what he did in his first game back in Triple-A?

One last question to think about, though: you have to wonder what Travis Ishikawa, who was waived from the major league roster because they thought Belt was ready, and who now has to compete for playing time with Belt in Triple-A, thinks about all this.
