Yes, Virginia, there are good stats.  And there are very, very bad ones.

You must have had your head in the sand, and really hate Brad Pitt, if you haven’t been witness to the stats revolution going on in baseball these days.  But there are still many people who aren’t embracing at least some level of the statistical enhancements the modern game has brought us.  It might be resentment.  It might just be a hatred of math.

Don’t be that guy.  You don’t have to be a nerd.  But don’t rely on stupid stats that most people these days admit are terrible tools for judging players.
