Yea, I don’t think the Yankees are going to sit silent after their second-straight first round exit.  What?  They have Mark Teixeira, you say?  True, they have a first baseman.  But they need a designated hitter.  And they’ll pay enough to make Pujols consider not playing the field.

Either that, or Theo Epstein’s first big splash in going to the Cubs, other than him going to the Cubs, will be to take the biggest name from their rivals and make them their own.  It’d make for fun times in the NL Central, that’s for sure.

Either way, he’s out of the Giants’ price range.  Oh well.  The Giants have Aubrey Huff for next season.  That’s okay, right?
