Well, to be fair, this is about how we felt when the Giants had dug themselves in that 0-2 hole. It wasn’t just two losses, it was two ugly losses. Two losses with bad pitching and putrid hitting. And yes, Zito started one of those elimination games.
But that situation had a hungry Lincecum in relief. It didn’t have a Cardinals team who pounds left-handed pitching.
This isn’t torture. I don’t know if it’s better or worse. But so far, it seem that this team is only ready to play well when even their own fans have given up on them. That point has been reached, again.
So, win it already, dammit.
