The Lunatic Fringe

I know that this point can be argued.  I know there’s a lot of prevailing opinions to go with here.  And I know there’s a lot that I don’t know.

You could say:

• It’s small sample size.  (It is.)

• The last time Buster Posey did catch a start before this one, Lincecum still gave up 4 earned runs in 4 innings.

• That maybe a lot of Lincecum’s success with Buster Posey was because he was working in relief, rather than starting.

Still, all I can say is what I see.  And what I see is that Lincecum pitches better with Posey behind the plate.

So, dammit, those two need to get over themselves and keep working together.
