I almost feel bad for the Cardinals in this situation, coming back to see the Giants celebrate their championship after losing in the NLCS. The schedule was made by September last year, of course, so the schedulemakers couldn’t have known. Probably.
But one of my Cardinal fan friends on Facebook noted that the last time the Cardinals had to watch a ring ceremony for the Giants, the Cards ended up winning up the World Series, so he’s hoping for that trend to continue.
