I feel lucky I’ve never had to work a true graveyard shift, but boy this would make the time go by fast.  Especially on road games where I get to hear the TV side, but I want to hear Jon or Dave’s call of the big plays.

It’s one of the genuinely cooler things that KNBR does, rather than play some inane ESPN radio feed during those hours.

Also, Madison Bumgarner should become the permanent pitcher-pinch-hit option in long games where they’re running out of position players.*  Really.  He’s been an impressive batting practice watch for a long time, and that home run tonight was legit.

And his second career at-bat:

That, ladies and gentlemen, is the anti-thesis of Madison Bumgarner at the plate.

I still can’t stop laughing at him bailing out of the box on a pitch that was over the plate at the ankles, and looking at the dugout like a puppy getting a bath for the first time, wondering why he’s being punished so badly, and wondering why everyone can’t stop laughing at him.
