You know how Mark Jackson is on the hot seat, despite the Warriors being in the playoffs, because his team quite frankly has lapses of concentration and preparation that cost them seemingly easy wins?

I’ve always felt that way about hitting coach Jim Lefebvre.

Lefebvre has been around during some of the highs and some of the lows, but especially the lows, of the Giants offense.  He was the hitting coach from 2003-2007, when he went to a role in the scouting department.  However, in 2011, he went back to the role as the assistant hitting coach, alongside Hensley Meulens.

Obviously, he was a coach during the 2012 World Series run, which is something, and he’s not in charge of the hitting anymore.  But when I see a hitting slump like this…I still think of those years in 2005, 2006 and 2007…

It might be just me…but I’d rather have Bonds as the assistant hitting coach.
