This comes from Hank Schulman’s tweet on Friday…

On one hand, Brian Wilson has a point about pitching himself into injury for the Giants.

On the other hand, it would seem to have really happened in 2011, not the championship season, so it’s not exactly what he claims.

On the other hand, he was a big part of the championship team, if not one of the most memorable team members.

On the other hand, he wasn’t a part of the 2012 championship team.

On the other hand, even if he hasn’t said it, the Giants did hand out a ‘Thank You’ contract to Aubrey Huff for the championship.

On the other hand, Pat Burrell, Juan Uribe and Edgar Renteria didn’t get them.  And thank goodness for that.

I can kind of get Wilson’s pouting.  But on the other hand, he’s a highly paid celebrity, and the difference in money he’ll get as a free agent, even if it’s with the Giants, is an amount many people won’t make combined in their entire careers.

I still hope he comes back, and proves he can beat his second Tommy John surgery, and stays for a while.
