So, it’s the Texas Rangers and the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series, eh?  I bet Fox is just counting their lucky stars it’s not Milwaukee in the series.  That would’ve been ratings that might challenge an NHL All-Star Game.

As far as I’m concerned, go Rangers.  Because the Cardinals just tied the Giants and Dodgers for the most World Series appearances by an NL team (18).  They also have the second-most World Series wins (10) behind only the Yankees (27).  Spread the wealth, boys.

Quick quiz: When the Texas Rangers made it to the World Series, that left only two current franchises with no World Series appearances.  Name them.  If I remember to answer this in Wednesday’s strip, I will.
