Spring Training is always a time for hope.  Too bad those hopes are often the most ridiculous or vane out there.

It used to be that the most worthless hope was to believe that the Giants would actually give their young players a starting job.  This year, the player everyone wants to get a role is Brandon Belt…but don’t hold your breath.

That said, I just couldn’t resist taking one more shot at Aaron Rowand.  At this point, the dude is coming into the season with as bad a reputation as any veteran starter since Edgardo Alfonzo.  And yet, I can’t shake the feeling he’ll still start opening day over Andres Torres.
