Seriously, it’s not like there isn’t a parade, protest, or celebration doesn’t already happen on a monthly basis in San Francisco.

Sports is American Culture.  It’s more monetized than other forms of culture, sure, but that’s also because the Super Bowl is one of the biggest, most popular cultural events there is.  Even more so than Star Wars.  Sure, this one is taking longer than the average parade…but it’s certainly a historic event.

Now, being upset that the 49ers collapsed before being able to contend for the home Super Bowl, that’s a legitimate frustration, I don’t blame the season ticket holders for having.
