The Lunatic Fringe

If you haven’t been to AT&T Park yet, prepare to be bombarded.  I appreciate that the team needs money to pay Cain, Lincecum and all the others, but wow, they really sold everything but the kitchen sinks.  I’m going to miss some of the basball-related quotes that used to be painted on the walls of the park, now covered by billboards.

If you were expecting some kind of commentary on Aubrey Huff, I’ll be avoiding that in the strip.  Huff’s always had the appearance of a joker, so we’ve made him the good-natured subject of a few of our strips, but I respect his need for privacy with this anxiety issue.  I have had more friends than I even realized that have had depression or anxiety issues, including one that I care about very deeply.  It’s not an easy thing to deal with, and it doesn’t deserve to be mocked.

Get well soon, Huff.  Take the time you need, and do what you need to do.  Despite all the #freebelt things out there, I hope you see that Giants fans stand behind you, like we do with all current and former Giants.
