Seriously, since Barry Bonds left the Giants, the player that has led the Giants in innings in left field is Fred Lewis, with 1,495.1 innings over two seasons.  Lewis won the job in 2008 from Dave Roberts, and then lost the job in 2009 to…Eugenio Velez and Andres Torres.

By comparison, the approximate number of innings in a 162 season is 1458.

The closest to that is Gregor Blanco, who, over the course of four seasons as a fourth-ish outfielder, has played 1,359.1 innings in left.

One day, the Giants may have a long-term left fielder.  Heck, that could be Mac Williamson starting sometime this year.  But until then, there’s still plenty of questions in left field.
