Other legitimate answers:

• A chance to check out the garden in center field without fighting ridiculous crowds walking to center field.

• To see the Fresno Grizzlies without the pleasures of Fresno.

• Conditioning for baseball games that won’t have Marco Scutaro playing second base.

• Scientific test to see that, if there’s enough open room for the seagulls at the start of the game, will they leave in the seventh rather than just arriving like normal?

• Opportunities to test sneaking into the Gotham Club without being ejected and missing a real game.

Oh, there’s also an exhibition game in Oakland.  I can’t think of a point to that one.
