FYI: This comic was done before today’s ACTUAL GIANTS NEWS. Official comment from us humor-based commenters will be coming on Monday, probably. Until then, just know that I’m A-oki with the latest move.
As far as the coaching mirroring effect goes…I know the timeline doesn’t match up. After all, the Raiders dumped Gruden before reaching the Super Bowl, made it the following season, and lost to freakin’ Gruden before hitting the crapper. I don’t know if what the Niners went through was better or worse than that, because that sequence is so very Raiders-ish.
But I am not looking forward to the coming years, for sure…
