The Lunatic Fringe

Maybe this is the sign of the worst rivalry in the bay area, but a large number of Giants fans say they’ll root for the A’s this fall.  They don’t hate the A’s at all.  But so many A’s fans hate the Giants, and get so chirpy about it, the Giants fans aren’t admitting to it.  If the hate goes only one way in a rivalry, does that mean it’s just envy?

Otherwise, it’s whoever playing the Dodgers, even if it’s the *shudder* Braves…or  even the Cardinals.

And, uh, I don’t know about you but I feel really bad for Texas fans right about now.
